These 3 Burglars Thought They Could Be Santa. Big Mistake

For most, Christmas is all about giving, spending time with family and enjoying the holiday season. But that’s not how Santa burglars like to celebrate. The goods news is no one can get into a house quite like Santa does. Just ask these three burglars.

Meet Ranaldo Jack, a 17 year old who one night decided it was a great idea to burgle a house by climbing down the chimney at 3am. All was going according to plan until he got stuck 3/4 of the way down.

It wasn’t until 1pm the following day that the neighbour across the street heard screams for help coming from the house. Needless to say, the police where called who pulled the teenager out and promptly arrested him for attempted burglary.

What do you do when you’re drinking at the bar and run out of cash? Go to the next house you find and climb down their chimney of-couse! The story goes that Richard Tyler Brandon decided to break into a house to get some money for alcohol.

Even he’s friend, Derek Grenfell, thought it was a bad idea!. He was quoted saying “Dude, you’re not Santa Claus, what are you doing?”. Despite he’s friends attempt to stop him, Richard went along with his plan and got half way down the chimney…before getting stuck.

Lucky he had his pal Derek to help him out, who found police at a nearby gas station and told them about the situation. The police in turn called more police and firefighters to the scene. It took them an hour and a half to get him out using a rope and pulley system.

“There’s a chance he could have died” said Detective Robert Young. Richard was taken to hospital and both men were charged and taken to Collier County Jail.

Say hello to Shon M. Shanell, a 23 year old that should know better. Dubbed as “the Santa Claus Burglar”, Shanell was found naked in the chimney of a Seattle home. There was no explanation as to why he was naked, but a screwdriver was found near the font entrance, next to a green backpack. He was very close to making it, but the bottom of the chimney proved too narrow.

Shanell got discovered by a neighbour who heard him screaming for help. The 911 call recorded the neighbour telling Shon to conserve his energy and wait for help. It took almost 6 hours for firefighters to pull him out of the rough-edged chimney.
