Surveillance Footage Captures Woman Shooting Three Burglars

Incredible surveillance footage has been released of a woman shooting three burglars during a home invasion…

WARNING: Footage contains graphic images.

The surveillance footage of a woman shooting three burglars who broke into her home was released in hopes of someone identifying the culprits as the footage clearly shows the faces of the three men. Cpl. Deon Washington with the Gwinnett County Police Department said “it’s not common that we receive this calibre of surveillance video showing the crime unfold…an actual home invasion.”

Washington also said the men did not cover their faces, which increases the chance of Police tracking them down. “They’re not wearing anything on their faces so we’re highly anticipating someone watching the evening newscast will recognise these people,” Washington said.

The surveillance footage shows three men with guns breaking in then rummaging through the house. The men turn on the lights and begin walking around the home as if they suspect that no one is home.

It appears that the men haven’t had the chance to take anything when they all stop and take off running out of the house as fast as they can. As they flee, the surveillance footage shows a woman shooting at the three burglars. Clad in pyjamas, it’s obvious she’s the homeowner, awoken by the burglars.

Two of the men managed to escape but the third burglar was shot by the homeowner and killed. This burglar was found dead from his injuries in the driveway of the home. It is unclear if the woman shot the other two burglars. Washington said the homeowner acted appropriately. “She exercised her right to defend her livelihood and property,” Washington told WSB TV.

Police told local reporters the men were looking for cash “when they met their match.”

Thanks to security cameras there is a real chance that these intruders will be caught as the entire event and the intruders’ faces were captured on camera and can be used by the Police as evidence.
